Ron Archer

Ron was a 1951 graduate of Brandon High School

His inclusion in the Athletic Hall of Fame is based on his commitments as an athlete in the sports of basketball and track and field, but more on his continued work as an avid supportor while his six sons attended the school and participated on various Lynx teams.

Ron, along with his wife Carol, were in the group of “founding” members of the Booster Club and is remembered by many for the personal investment he made to provide for a better athletic experience for Brandon Valley athletes and coaches. 

Ron was a leader by example.  He led a charge to repair and re-sod the football field when it was in poor condition. Furthermore,he took full responsibility for the financing and installation of the large sign in front of the high school.

Most who knew Ron know that his wife had much to do behind the scenes and believe that their willingness to sacrifice was in support of their beliefs that extra-curricular activities are integral facets of the high school experience.
